About Lorenz Metal Detector

At  LORENZ - Detecting - Systems we have been following one goal for years :

To build the best Detectors for our customers all over the world. LORENZ - Detectors are based on proven technology which has already been tested and used successfully.

  • Along with the help of our professional and amateur users, we tried to improve our products and developed all new technologies, such as static conductivity meter reading, based on the pulse induction principle, power MOSFET - Transmitters or special interference reduction circuits.
  • In the field of industrial metal detectors LORENZ - Detecting - Systems has been introducing different new products.
  • For example LORENZ - Metal - Detectors are successfully in use to seperate different metals for recycling purposes. Please contact us if you face special detection requirements.

.Lorenz metal detectors, model Deepmax - X 5 and Deepmax - X 6 can be utilized for detecting deeply buried treasure, buried gold or silver and even a coin. They are user friendly and are provided with extremely easy to follow instructions by the manufacturers. Just follow the manual and set the controls  and you are ready for some metal hunting. Point the search coil in the air and depress the ground balance control button. The metal detector will automatically correct for ground balance and you can start searching after setting the threshold level.

Lorenz X - series of metal detectors are preconditioned to ignore minerals found in the ground. Brass, bronze, gold, silver and even larger pieces of metal buried at great depth can be detected by the the pulse induction Lorenz metal detector.  These detectors are pulse intermittent transmission models. The Deepmax model is configured to amplify its signal and send it deep into all kinds of soils. It is equipped with an accurate conductivity meter reading system that identifies the metal that is detected.  The Deepmax - X 6 models is also provided with a built in 3 D data logging system and a GPS module along with USB storage for storing and downloading data.

The Lorenz Deepmax - X5 / X6 models configured for non - motion and Pulse Ground Balancing system or Pulse GBS. The search coil of the metal detector emits intensive and short magnetic pulses  that produce eddy currents in conducting metallic articles. These eddy currents will be absorbed by the object and stored and the eddy current will die off once the pulse emission is turned off. The eddy current stored in the object in turn responds to the search coil when it acts as the receiving coil.  An electronic circuitry is required to detect these little voltage changes and it separates that specific signal from interference. This signal then gets amplified to drive a voltage controlled oscillator that in turn emits an audible signal through headphones or built in speaker when  a metal is within the magnetic field of the coil of the Lorenz metal detector.

Eddy currents stored in the metal articles through a pulse induced primary field will die away differently based on the conductivity quality of the metal. The classification circuit relays a visual time delay reading for eddy currents received over a period of time. Additionally when the Lorenz metal detector has a double - D - coil, it gives an indication of presence of ferrous or absence of it in any metal detected. This helps us to determine  the probable quality of metal being detected and the audio emission helps us to pin point the location of the metal.

Extending the search coil to a greater length will allow for covering greater diameters and help us to find metals of larger size and at greater depth. However the increase in length will decrease its sensitivity to metals that are closer to the surface. Hence depending on what you are searching for the length of the coil can be kept to the desired extent in the Lorenz metal detector.
